The City of Covington and Newton County contracted with Sunbelt Builders to construct a Fire Training Burn Building, located on Piper Road. The 6,000 sq. ft. building is 2 stories and engineered with concrete walls / roof and lined with fire retardant tiles. The site also includes a course for driver training. Fire training at the new facility to begin in the spring of 2015.
